Today, the Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), H.E. Mr Fernando Arias, offered his condolences to the people of Sri Lanka for the bombings that occurred on Sunday, 21 April 2019.
Writing in the book of condolences offered at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in The Hague, the Director-General expressed:
“When I write these words, I still have a feeling of incredulity thinking about the cruelty of the attacks targeting innocent civilians that occurred last Sunday. I express my solidarity with the people and the government of Sri Lanka with my deepest respect, sympathy, and sorrow.”
