The Third OPCW Assistance and Protection Training Course for Instructors was conducted from 27 August to 3 September 2014 at OPCW Headquarters in cooperation with the National Authority of The Netherlands.
The course provided advanced training in Assistance and Protection against Chemical Weapons to instructors from 19 States Parties*
Along with instructors from the Technical Secretariat, first responders and experts from Belarus, China, Poland and USA also participated in the course as instructors. This sort of specialised training has been successfully conducted as a part of the Secretariat’s strategy towards increasing sustainability of capacity building endeavors of the OPCW in the area of assistance and protection, in line with the recommendations of the Third Review Conference.
