The Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen visited the Technical Secretariat on 18 November 2011 with H.E. Mr. Buddhi Athauda, Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the OPCW.
During the visit they met with Director-General Ahmet Üzümcü and received an update on the status of implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and the work of the OPCW, in particular its industrial inspections regime and cooperation with chemical industry. Mr Bathiudeen assured the Director-General of Sri Lanka’s firm commitment to implementation of the Convention and continued support for the work of the Organisation.
