The OPCW Technical Secretariat has established a Cultural Committee to consider requests for staging art exhibits and other cultural events in the common areas of the headquarters building in The Hague.

The new Committee has already approved a request by the Delegation of Hungary for an exhibition of photographs, which is currently on display during the 65th session of the Executive Council from 12-15 July 2011.

The Committee welcomes requests from other Permanent Representations and from OPCW staff members, as well as from external organisations and individuals that are submitted through their Permanent Representations. All requests should be addressed to the Director of External Relations, who chairs the Committee.

Guidelines for holding cultural events at the OPCW headquarters are being finalised and will be posted to the OPCW website.
