A delegation from Turkey headed by the Minister for European Union Affairs, Mr Egemen Bağış, visited the OPCW on 8 April 2011 and met with the Director-General, Ambassador Ahmet Üzümcü.
The Director-General briefed Minister Bağış on the status of implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and expressed his appreciation for Turkey’s firm commitment to the goals of the CWC. Minister Bağış thanked the Director-General for his overview and assured him of Turkey’s continuing strong support for the Convention and for the work of the OPCW.
