International Travel
Check with your local government for information on required documents and arrangements that you will need for travel to the Netherlands. If you need a letter to accompany your visa application that confirms your attendance at the Conference, contact us.
Public Transportation
Train service between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and the two main railway stations in The Hague, Den Haag Centraal Station and Den Haag HS Station, is provided by NS. For details, visit ns.nl.
Tram and bus service is provided in The Hague by HTM. For details, visit htm.nl. The World Forum can be reached by tram 1, 16 or 17, or bus 21.

Internet access
Free wifi is available throughout the Conference venue.
Cloakroom
A complimentary cloakroom will be located at the entrance of the conference area before the security screening area. Items are left at the owner’s risk.
Parking
Paid parking is available in the underground garage at the World Forum.
Catering
Drinks and snacks will be served throughout the Conference at a delegates lounge in the main foyer of the World Forum, and at the OPCW cafeteria located on the first floor of OPCW Headquarters.
Accessibility
The World Forum and OPCW Headquarters offer barrier-free access, with lifts to all floors and accessible toilet facilities on every floor. Arrangements can be made to accommodate wheelchairs in the King Willem-Alexander Theatre upon request to the Technical Secretariat.
Hearing aid users can connect to the induction loop assistive listening system provided in the King Willem-Alexander Theatre. To use the induction loop, hearing aids should be set to the ‘T’ setting.
Security
Every precaution is taken to ensure that the Conference is safe and secure. Security guards are present at all times at the World Forum, OPCW Headquarters, and at associated Conference events.
Security Screening
All participants will be screened each time they enter the World Forum. Be sure to allow extra time to clear security screening prior to scheduled meetings, particularly on the first morning of the Conference.
Use of phones, recording devices, camera, and radio transmitters may be restricted in certain areas.
Baggage must never be left unattended. Ensure that all baggage is tagged. The OPCW will not assume responsibility for any lost items or for the removal and destruction of unattended baggage deemed to be suspicious.
Health and Safety
All participants are requested not to enter the World Forum or OPCW Headquarters if they have been diagnosed or have had symptoms of an acute respiratory illness in the last 5 days.
In Case of Emergency
Medical and Other Emergencies. For emergency services (fire, medical, police), call 112.
Fire. In case of fire, leave the building immediately by walking to the nearest safe exit. Leave all belongings. Do not use the elevators. Do not return to the building until authorities indicate that it is safe to do so.
Non-emergency Medical Assistance. First aid facilities are located on the first floor of the World Forum for non-emergency medical assistance.
On-site security. An on-site security office is located on the first floor of the World Forum and will attend to any emergencies and security situations at that venue during the Conference.
